Paper Towel Art
You will need:
> A recyclable clean takeaway container
> Various pen markers
> Kitchen paper towels
> A drizzle of tap water to be placed inside container per art drawn
Method:
On a blank kitchen towel draw or create patterns with markers.
I suggest you take a photo of your art before hand, to compare with the finished result afterwards.
Depending on the size and shape of your takeaway container, drizzle a small amount of water inside the container and immerse your art drawn kitchen towel in the water. Watch the colours bleed and blend. Squeeze to remove the excess water and gently open up to reveal the colours.
Things to consider:
What do you notice?
What stands out?
Is there any aspect of the art created that reminds you of an object, scenery or past or present memory?
Optional:
> Can use food colouring instead of markers.
> While paper towel is semi-wet you can draw the outline of your art or place glitter or acrylic spray paints upon it, or you can add a few drops of essential oil.
> Turn it in to a book, wrapping paper, add to a collage, cut out flowers or butterflies to turn into a natural material tree or cut out shapes to turn into a hanging mobile, once paper towel is dry.
The options are unlimited.
